Who knew that Ben Affleck will relate to Batman, the character he is set to play in Zack Snyder’s upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”. Batman’s rage has always been a challenge for the masked hero, and Affleck says he is familiar with this relatable quality. While chatting with The Sunday Times about the Caped Crusaders’ anger issues, the “Gone Girl” star explains:

“I think it’s a necessity, historically, in the tradition of these films.”

He also offered some insight into his own personal anger issues:

“For me, anger is so deeply buried and contained that when it does kind of come out, it comes out in stronger bursts.  I tend to be respectful, polite, get along, put up with, put up with, put up with … then, when it finally emerges, it’s not something I have a ton of control over.  I’m not gonna go into a Wolverine berserker rage, but I do have a, I do … That is an interesting thing that you point out.  That’s my personality … By the way, that’s a character flaw, I think.  I should sit down and say, ‘Listen, I just want to let you know what happened there wasn’t OK’, instead of going, let it go, let it go, let it go … ‘Ah, that’s not a big deal’, until finally you just pop!”

The 41-year-old actor recently straining his body due to a complicated move using his left shoulder. Despite fans and bookies giving him a hard time since taking over the cape from Christian Bale, Affleck seems to be focused and working hard to prove them wrong.

Plot details for the upcoming DC pic is still under wraps. Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel and Affleck’s Batman will be joined by Amy Adams who reprises her role as Lois Lane. Recent reports also tease that Jason Momoa will take on the role as Aquaman, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Cameo appearances by some members of the Justice League have also been rumored; Nightwing, Flash and Green Lantern have been mentioned so far. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is set to be released on May 6, 2016.
