We expected no exciting news from the “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” camp who originally stated that their visit to Comic-Con will be reserved for next year only. Imagine the surprise when geeks stopped at the Warner Bros. panel at the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend to find Ben Affleck , Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot at the event. We have already seen Batman’s awesome cape and cowl revealed at the event, and now, we get to see an exclusive first picture of Gal Gadot as Wonder-Woman. The picture was shared via Twitter, courtesy of director Zack Snyder. The stunning Israeli model turned actress is featured in a cloudy setting while surrounded by flying ash and bits of burning debris. She is unfortunately not wearing the traditional red-white-and-blue outfit we love so much. She is wearing a bronze outfit instead, while wielding a matching sword to go with the brand new metal finish.

Comic book movie geeks were also treated with an exclusive first clip of the “Man of Steel” sequel. The clip featured the Caped Crusader (Ben Affleck) removing the tarp off the Bat-signal and switching it on. Soon after, the masked hero was joined by the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) while the two heroes size each other up for a possible confrontation.

Plot details for the upcoming DC pic is still under wraps. Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel and Affleck’s Batman will be joined by Amy Adams who reprises her role as Lois Lane. Recent reports also tease that Jason Momoa will take on the role as Aquaman, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Cameo appearances by some members of the Justice League have also been rumored; Nightwing, Flash and Green Lantern have been mentioned so far. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is set to be released on May 6, 2016.
