Horror geeks can prepare themselves for another Found-Footage Horror ‘The Houses October Built‘, set to be released this October. This year’s Halloween is setting out to concur the box office with low-budget screamers. The latest horror pic to join the slate of blood thirsty films to be released this year brings us back to the good old traditions of Halloween. Five friends take on a road trip to seek the ultimate fright for the night. Aimlessly searching for Halloween Haunts they end up empty-handed, or so they thought. Strange things start happening as they discover that they are not alone on the scariest night of the year.

Bobby Roe directed the film which was produced by Paranormal Activity and Insidious‘ Steven Schneider. Cast member Zack Andrews wrote and produced this film together with Schneider, which is set to hit limited theaters in the U.S. starting October 3.

“Beneath the fake blood and cheap masks of countless haunted house attractions across the country, there are whispers of truly terrifying alternatives. Looking to find an authentic, blood-curdling good fright for Halloween, five friends set off on a road trip in an RV to track down these underground Haunts. Just when their search seems to reach a dead end, strange and disturbing things start happening and it becomes clear that the Haunt has come to them.”
