The first trailer for horror movie “Ouija” gives a sneak peek at a group of friends messing around with an Ouija board to make contact with a recently deceased classmate. The plot from there on seems rather predictable with a sinister presence waiting around for the opportunity to scare a bunch of high school teenagers. Why then should we be bothered you may ask? The creative team hired to champion the project might just have enough up their sleeve to surprise horror fans with a good old scary movie!

Co-produced by “Transformers” helmer Michael Bay, the team also includes the producers of “Insidious” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”. The producing team also boasts with a bunch of “horror experts” who’ve collectively worked on films like “Paranormal Activity”, “ The Unborn”, “The Purge” and “Friday the 13th”. Directed and co-written by Stiles White, the horror movie stars Douglas Smith, Daren Kagasoff, and Olivia Cooke among others.

The film is expected to haunt theatres on October 24, just in time for Halloween!
