The internet is following the “Dr. Strange” production with great interest with many rumors surfacing what to expect from the long-awaited Marvel movie. Blogs are particularly zoned in on the long gestated casting announcements for the production, with eyes on possible actors to play the titular character. Edgar Ramirez, Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch, Jared Leto and Joseph Gordon-Levitt joined the list of hopefuls to take the lead for the coveted role but no casting announcement have been made.
The Hollywood Reporter says they are sure that Joaquin Phoenix is the latest Hollywood heavyweight to be added to the mix. Phoenix is a decent contender for the coveted role with many projects under his belt to prove his worth. He was absolutely brilliant as Johnny Cash in “Walk the Line”.

Marvel’s movie about the greatest protector against magical peril is set to start production in spring 2015. Scott Derrickson will direct with a script rewritten by Jon Spaihts. “Dr. Strange” is set to be released somewhere in 2016.
