It has been an interesting couple of weeks for fans of the upcoming 2015 “Man of Steel” sequel. Many names have been mentioned so far however nothing has been confirmed, a suitable Bale follow-up is still at large.
Comicbookmovie.com has stated that Warner Brothers is looking for someone similar to Henry Cavill’s position before he was cast as Superman. So, that means they are probably looking for an up-and-coming actor capable of pulling off the role as the caped-crusader, not extremely famous, and have a few films and TV shows under his belt. Orlando Bloom is reportedly in the running for Batman, the word ‘favorite’ has made an appearance as well.
A senior source at Warner Bros studio confirmed:
“Orlando looks odds-on to get the part even before our first casting call. “
“He would be perfect to play off Henry and I think US audiences would be happy with two Brits as the joint male leads.”
This will be an interesting choice considering Bloom has been very quiet the last couple of years and he wasn’t the star of the Hollywood blockbuster films he was cast in.

Orlando bloom certantly has the looks for a role as the caped crusader but I think that jeremy sisto would be perfect for the role. If your not familar with who he is, he plays the dad on abc’s suburgatory and he did the voice of batman in justice league: the new frontier. I think that the voice is perfect, and that if he would be up to it and if he gained more muscle he’d be great as batman in the sequel
I am running out of names to be honest. Replacing Bale is one of the most difficult choices in years. Having someone else wearing the mask and cape just doesn’t sit well. Like it or not we will have a replacement soon. I suppose replacing Huge Jackman and Downey Jr. will be just as challenging one day.
I hope he gets the part that way DC will have ruined their shared movie universe right when it got started and MARVEL fans can rub it in their faces and laugh at all the “Bloom was okay as Batman” remarks.

This is a joke, right? I’m getting punk’d right now, haha.
One really has to wonder if Warner Bros. has even opened up a comic. Batman has to be cast as superman’s intellectual superior. Furthermore, Batman has consistently walked the thin line of lone wolf and partime leader of the justice league. I can’t believe that Bloom could come close to pull the role off as what criminal in there right mind would be scared of Orlando Bloom in a batman costume. As for Bale he was the best movie batman; however, Nolan’s universe did not showcase batman at his full prowess either. Between poorly shot fight scenes, lack of detective element, and less emphasis on batman’s physical prowess (ie. martial arts and acrobatics) we were left with a 25-50% real batman. End rant (just saying).
Nobloom: It is safe to say by your standards, Bloom will definitely not make the cut. I wonder what happened to the idea that they are searching for a “grizzled veteran who has been on the job for several years.” Perhaps someone is having a laugh at our expense right now.
I see the guys at comicbookresources.com cast their votes for Michael Fassbender to be the caped crusader. We know this will never be possible however an actor with his experience and acting ability would be ideal.
