There have been many rumors and suggestions regarding the suitable replacement for the “Caped Crusader” since the confirmation that Batman will appear in “Man of Steel 2”. The upcoming sequel will take inspiration from Frank Miller’s graphic novel “The Dark Knight Returns”, however it will not be an origin story of the Dark Knight. The film will focus more on Batman and Superman’s first encounter.

As previously stated,  Bruce Wayne will be “a grizzled veteran who has been on the job for several years.” Wayne is reportedly envisioned in his late 30s or around 40s.

Hollywoodreporter.com revealed a list of candidates most likely to make the cut as Gotham’s finest crime fighter.

The corridor talks are unconfirmed at this point however rumor has it this might be the pick of the crop. We will have to wait for casting to be completed to see if the film set for a 2015 release will include any of the hopefuls mentioned so far.
