That’s why we love to let our geek flag fly and acknowledge our fellow geeks with pride. Who says geeks can’t be sexy, and we are not talking about the fakers out there, we know who you are! “Total Recall”, “Underworld”

There isn’t a warm-blooded man on the plant that wouldn’t give the British actress Kate Beckinsale the old double thumbs up as one of the sexiest woman on the planet right now. That’s right we said it! Start compiling any list of attractive actresses and you are sure to find the stunning brunette’s name popping up. We really enjoyed her athleticism in the “Total Recall” remake, and we can never look at latex outfits and vampires in the same way again ever since we saw her in “Underworld”!

 

2. Megan Fox

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, “Transformers” and “Jonah Hex”

Megan Fox has been a house hold name since she appeared in 2007’ smash hit sci-fi actioner, “Transformers”. The franchise really knew how to play out the advantages of having the sexy brunette on set. Everyone still remembers the car scene when she bent over the hood to check out the engine, and when she was leaning over a motorcycle while a strategic camera filmed her curvaceous body. Admired by millions of geeks across the globe, no sexy list is complete unless Fox is among the pick of the crop. She will be portraying April O’Neil in Jonathan Liebesman’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014),” set to be released on 8 August 2014.

 

3. Natalie Portman

“Star Wars” trilogy, “Thor”, “V-for Vendetta”

Natalie Portman has really cemented herself in the geek community as one of the familiar faces we want to see in geeky movies. She has done a stellar job playing Dr. Jane Foster in “Thor”, and really impressed as Padmé, mother of the legendary Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars”. Even a shaved head in the critically acclaimed “V-for Vendetta” couldn’t mask her beauty when she played Evey Hammond.

 

4. Alexandra Daddario

“Percy Jackson”

Alexandra Daddario once said that she would love to have a shot at playing Wonder Woman. The stunning blue-eyed brunette said whether if she’s in a Wonder Woman movie or not, she “would love to be.” The geek community gave her the stamp of approval but unfortunately for her the role was handed to Israeli model/actress Gal Gadot. We enjoyed seeing her in “Percy Jackson” and hopefully the stunning young actress will get more opportunities to let her geek flag fly.

5. Olivia Wilde

“Tron: Legacy”, “Voice: Tron Video Games”

Howard Wolowitz’s engineering degree from MIT has always given him the freedom to explore his options to “create” his own girlfriend. We would like to think that if he ever succeeded that the end result would be something similar to Olivia Wilde’s Quorra  in “Tron: Legacy”. The gorgeous actress portrays one of the last Isomorphic Algorithms (or ISOs) in the geeky movie. She is basically a program that spontaneously evolved on “The Grid”, as opposed to being created by someone. Cyber sexy has a new meaning thanks to Olivia Wilde!

6. Jessica Biel

“Total Recall”, “Stealth”, “Blade: Trinity”, “The A-Team”

Kate Bekinsale was joined by Jessica Biel as one of the co-stars in the “Total Recall” remake. If there was ever a good reason(s) to watch the remake, the “Bekinsale Biel coefficient” is nuff said! Coming back to Jessica, she really stood out as a vampire slayer in “Blade: Trinity” and provided some serious eye candy with her tone physique in “Stealth” and “Blade: Trinity”. Did we mention the stunning actress is toned, talk about the full package!

 

7. Rachael Taylor

“Transformers”

Australian actress and model Rachael Taylor made her mark in the first “Transformers” back in 2007 when she played Maggie Madsen, a Pentagon analyst recruited by the U.S. Defense Department. Madsen’s team discovered a hostile agent hacking into the mainframe of Air Force One. She theorized that the possibility of a living organism is the culprit for hacking into the entire US Military defence grid. Geeks always find a way to save the world do we not? It might be difficult to concentrate on finding the source of the hacking if Taylor’s Madsen is strutting around in sexy high heels and a miniskirt.

8. Rachel Nichols

“G.I. Joe”, “Star Trek”

Movies based on action figures are always at the top of our list to watch. Being a Hollywood actresses willing to take a chance on one of the most popular toy company based movies, will immediately receive our geek stamp of approval. Rachel Nichols plays Scarlett in “G.I. Joe”, a fiery red-head with the ability to kick your ass and make you fall in love with her all at the same time!

 

9. Alice Eve

“Star Trek: Into Darkness”

Most moviegoers will remember Alice Eve from 2010’s “She’s Out Of My League”. The cute blonde with a smile that can melt a million hearts in one second surprised movie geeks with a very visually pleasing scene in  J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek: Into Darkness”. Some Trekkies are of the opinion that even though Kurk is a ladies’ man, it’s not his defining characteristic, hence the rants about Eve’s lingerie exposing scene in the movie? Damon Lindelof, co-writer/producer even apologised for the lingerie scene, huh?

 

10. Milla Jovovich

“Resident Evil”, “Ultra Violet”

Queen zombie slayer and envy of many geeks, Ukrainian model/actress Milla Jovovich is an automatic entry on our list. She has been an absolute sensation since she signed on to portray Alice in the film series loosely based on the Capcom video games, “Resident Evil”.  She was also visually pleasing in “Ultraviolet”, serving as a reminder why the movie was even made.

11. Sienna Miller

“G.I. Joe”

Rachel Nichols is joined by Sienna Miller in “G.I. Joe” as one of the attractive ladies in tight latex outfits. The sexy blonde American- English actress took on the role as the sensual femme fatale “The Baroness”. She serves as the Cobra’s intelligence officer and lieutenant to Cobra Commander. Miller’s beauty matched perfectly with the character’s ruthlessness and seductive traits.

 

12. Zoe Saldana

“Avatar”, “Guardians of the Galaxy”, “Star Trek”

Zoe Saldana is slowly becoming one of the most popular “geek go to girls” in Hollywood. She is also one of the most talented actresses with the ability to really submerge herself into her characters. She was simply brilliant in “Avatar” and we are really looking forward to seeing her in the remainder of the sequels set to be released. Saldana is also Spock’s girlfriend in “Star Trek” and she is set to play “Gamora” in the upcoming Marvel movie, “Guardians of the Galaxy”.

13. Kelly Hu

Movies:  “The Scorpion King” and “X2”. Voiceovers for “Green Lantern: Emerald Knights”, “Batman: Under the Red Hood”, “Scooby-Doo! and the Samurai Sword”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Robot Chicken”

Kelly Hu is a geek veteran when it comes to movies and animated productions.  The stunning actress born in Honolulu, Hawaii, has always surprised people with her strong interest to pursue geeky projects in Hollywood. Many would ask why? The beauty queen was crowned Miss Hawaii Teen USA and competed in the Miss Teen USA 1985 pageant, becoming the Miss Teen USA pageant’s third title holder in history and its first Asian American winner. Not exactly what you would expect right, never judge a book by its cover the old saying goes. She is also a martial arts specialist, so be careful if you pass comments that are not appropriate!

 

14. Rashida Jones

“The Social Network”, “The Muppets”, “Frenemy of the State”

I can’t imagine what the world would be like for some people if Facebook has to be removed from their lives. Mark Zuckerberg’s interesting story about his billion dollar poke machine received a couple more likes with the addition of Rashida Jones. She plays Marylin Delpy, a junior lawyer for the defence who informs Zuckerberg that they will settle with Saverin. The multi talented beauty is also busy with a comic books project, “Frenemy of the State”. The story of a socialite who gets recruited by the CIA will be adapted to big screen with the movie rights sold almost immediately after the first issue was released. FYI: She is the daughter of two famous people, Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton.

 

15. Rooney Mara

“Girl with the Dragon Tattoo“, ”The Social Network”, “Pan”

It is almost impossible to think that Rooney Mara is the same person when she took on the role as Lisbeth Salander in the “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo“. Sporting the famous tattoos, multiple piercings, weird haircut and black outfits, Mara’s Salander is the perfect world-class hacker and super skilled investigator. Mara is also set to play Tiger Lily in “Pan”, an origin story about the titular character.
