Ryan Reynolds spoke to totalfilm.com recently regarding the ongoing Deadpool film we are all waiting for. The Deadpool movie is still very much a possibility. It also appears that Ryan Reynolds is still attached to star in the movie. The film had a script from writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (know for Zombieland). Tim Miller will be at the helm of the project directing.
* Update: The ‘Deadpool’ Movie is Still Alive According to X-Men Producer!
Tim Miller is better known as a visual effects artist and creative supervisor. He is proficient in his field of expertise, having worked as an artist on X-Men, X-Men 2 and Daredevil in addition to acting as creative supervisor on Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Miller is an “interesting” choice considering we have never seen any of his directorial work, especially with Ryan Reynolds attached to the disastrous Green Lantern endeavor. It has been 2 years since we have heard any good news regarding the realization of the Deadpool production.
Here’s a snippet of what Reynolds had to say:
“That movie is alive and kicking, and then it’s dead as a doornail. Then it’s alive and kicking and then it’s dead… it’s like the worst relationship I’ve ever had!”
“The character knows he’s a comic-book character, he knows he’s in a film, he knows who the executives are at the studio making the movie,”
“Alive and Kicking” is good enough for now I suppose. We will have to be patient on this one as there is no additional news indicating any release dates.

I’m shocked. After the horror of the Green Lantern shouldn’t Ryan Reynolds be banned from superheros for life?
Chris Wolfe: We will have to wait and see if they even make this movie. Not sure if Reynolds can redeem himself considering the poor reviews from critics and general moviegoer (Review: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/770677993/).It would be interesting to see how they position Deadpool, I am sure many fans would love to see this character feature in his own big budget film. Reynolds told Empire that the script will be focusing on a “deeply mentally disturbed and hyper violent Deadpool.”
Was Green Lantern really that bad? As for Deadpool, Reynolds may fit the role perfectly. Remember Deadpool is our local “Merc with a Mouth”. Unstable, funny, ruthless. All of which IMO fits Reynolds perfectly.
I agree Green Lantern wasn’t nearly as bad as people have made it out to be, I thought it was a decent average, didnt make me want to walk out but wasn’t anything to rant about. Also I feel that Reynolds is good for Deadpool since he often plays characters that are full of themselves just like Deadpool.
How many more superheroes does he intend to ruin?
