Hard Rockers Avenged Sevenfold (Yes, I said hard rockers ’cause lets face it, their’re no longer a alternative metal band) revealed their upcoming album name and release date: Hail to the King on the 27th of August.

During an on-line scavenger hunt, fans were led to different websites that were hosting puzzle pieces made of images and clues. By following the clues and putting together the pieces the album cover, title and release date were unveiled. Avenged Sevenfold will also be playing a free show at the Hollywood Palladium on August 26th to celebrate the album release.
We absolutely loved their latest album which featured drumming virtuoso Mike Portnoy. This was due to the untimely and devastating loss of their drummer Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan.
We’re not sure what to expect from their sixth studio album. They guys have gone a bit “soft” as of late swimming in the mainstream. We truly hope this is another kick-ass album where the guys produce a heavy album!
