Rave Reviews for Avenged Sevenfold’s new album “Hail to the King”

Avenged Sevenfold’s upcoming album “Hail to the King” is getting some astonishing reviews from some pretty reputable sources. Hail to the King is officially set to release on August 23rd. We’re pretty upset that some guys have managed to get a sneak peak in give a quick review, and that we’re left wanting…

Metal Hammer has given Avenged Sevenfold’s album “Hail To The King” a 9 out of 10. They call “Hail To The King” a “beast of a record, vast, ambitious and magisterial” also stating, “It is unquestionably Avenged Sevenfold’s masterpiece. Metallica, your heirs have arrived.”

Soundscape Magazine has written a track-by-track review of Avenged Sevenfold’s “Hail To The King” and give the album an 8 out of 10.

Doing Time – Doing Time feels very much like the Avenged of old. It’s got a dirty feel to it and oozes itself in swagger. It’s balls out rock ‘n’ roll. Think of the midnight party going nowhere in particular, but moving very fast. Dancing girls, dirty rock bands and everything in between. It’s the 80’s inside one track.

This Means War – This Means War has elements of Metallica to it but the dual lead guitar is all Avenged Sevenfold. It’s catchy as hell and mixed with a spattering of driving drums makes this song is definite toe tapper. The track rips out of its confines and sucks you in. Larger than life and with a riff that will be in your head for days, this track is a classic from the off.
