With Tom Cruise’s Sci-Fi Epic Oblivion achieving a not-so-spectacular-but-still-good second week at the Box Office, we’re starting to look towards his next movie endeavors. Tom Cruise had some serious flops in the past, but generally when you see his name on a movie poster you are guaranteed a great film, and at least your money’s worth. What can we look forward to next from Tom Cruise? He seems to be involved with a multitude of projects. Whether all of these will see the silver screen is unknown.

Here’s 10 Great Movies Tom Cruise Will star in Next:

The film is based on the Japanese light novel All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. It also stars Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton.  Humanity is at war with an alien race known as Mimics, and Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Tom Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat until he is unceremoniously demoted and then dropped—untrained and ill-equipped—into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission. Cage is killed within minutes, managing to take an Alpha down with him. But, impossibly, he awakens back at the beginning of the same hellish day, and is forced to fight and die again…and again. Direct physical contact with the alien has thrown him into a time loop—dooming him to live out the same brutal combat over and over.

But with each pass, Cage becomes tougher, smarter, and able to engage the Mimics with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt), who has lain waste to more Mimics than anyone on Earth. As Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated battle becomes an opportunity to find the key to annihilating the alien invaders and saving the Earth.

This sounds fantastic!!

We’re really excited about this one, a project that was eventually killed in 2011, but possibly back on board with Tom Cruise. Latest update received back in January this year, “I’m going to try it one more time. Once more into the dark abyss,” he laughed. “We’re gonna do a big presentation of the project again at the start of the year and see if any [studio’s] interested.” And yes, Tom Cruise is still game to be on board if they can find a home for it. “Yeah, Tom is still attached. I think it would be so fantastic to make it with him. He’s been such a great ally of the project.

The movie is based on a H.P. Lovecraft sci-fi fantasy. On an Antarctic expedition, a group of explorers discover an ancient civilization and accidentally awaken its inhabitants.

Finally, the cries of the fans have been heard, we are getting a sequel. We’re not entirely convinced that this is such a good idea. Paramount is moving forward with the sequel with Tom Cruise reprising his role as ‘Maverick’. With aerial dogfighting a relic of the past, the sequel will focus on pilots who fly drones remotely from Nevada. Christopher McQuarrie is scripting.

Brad Pitt is looking to team up with Tom Cruise in a new film being directed by Tron: Legacy and Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski, called Go Like Hell. The film is a racing drama that tells the story of the battle between Ford and Ferrari for dominance in the sports car marketplace. It’s based on the book Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari, and their Battle For Speed and Glory at Le Mans, by A.J. Blaine, which recaps Ford’s challenge to Ferrari with a car designed Carroll Shelby.

This would be the first time that Pitt and Cruise have been in a film together since 1994’s Interview with a Vampire. They made a great team back then, and I imagine they will make a great team in this new film.
