Series creator Nic Pizzolatto is turning up the heat for his critically acclaimed crime drama series by releasing some visuals for the upcoming season of “True Detective“. Courtesy of HBO, we get to see motion posters filled with moody undertones and dark streets which feature a tagline that reads, “We get the world we deserve.” We are huge Fans of the HBO series and were very excited to see the first teaser and photos released just two weeks ago. For those of you familiar with Pizzolatto’s anthology crime drama series and missed the buzz for season 2, the upcoming season centers on “a bizarre murder which brings together three law-enforcement officers and a career criminal, each of whom must navigate a web of conspiracy and betrayal in the scorched landscapes of California.” The hotly anticipated second season starring Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn is set to be released on Sunday, June 21.

HBO Released Dark and Moody Motion Posters for ‘True Detective’ Season 2

Colin Farrell is Ray Velcoro, a compromised detective in the all-industrial City of Vinci, LA County. Vince Vaughn plays Frank Semyon, a criminal and entrepreneur in danger of losing his life’s work, while his wife and closest ally (Kelly Reilly), struggles with his choices and her own. Taylor Kitsch plays Paul Woodrugh, a war veteran and motorcycle cop for the California Highway Patrol who discovers a crime scene which triggers an investigation involving three law enforcement groups, multiple criminal collusions, and billions of dollars. Rachel McAdams is Ani Bezzerides, a Ventura County Sheriff’s detective often at odds with the system she serves.
