Fans of the critically acclaimed HBO series “True Detective” will be pleased to hear that season 2 has officially received a premiere date. Creator of the anthology series Nic Pizzolatto managed to capture the imaginations of crime series enthusiasts with his outstanding first season starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew Mcconaughey. Needless to say we have been holding our breaths and kept a watchful eye on the internet to get our hands on some footage. HBO was kind enough to release the first teaser and we managed to get our hands on the first official photos released. The teaser does not reveal any plot details, but we can already see the same moody cinematography style associated with Pizzolatto’s work.

The official description of the second season reads:

“A bizarre murder brings together three law-enforcement officers and a career criminal, each of whom must navigate a web of conspiracy and betrayal in the scorched landscapes of California.”

The hotly anticipated second season starring Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn is set to be released on Sunday, June 21.
