The Strain Season 2 Trailer
We we’re relatively impressed with season one of Guillermo del Toro’s FX series The Strain. The show started at a slow pace, but finally seemed to embrace its insanity near the end of the first season. The first season 2 trailer was released a few days ago and if that is any indication we can expect things to get crazy real soon in the upcoming season. More craziness is exactly what this show needs, so here’s hoping they fully commit to the ridiculousness of the premise, go all-out, and provide fans with some great “WTF” moments this year.
“The Strain is billed as a “high-concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.”
