The market for legal movies is still booming even though the pirate market is taking over. There is a considerable drop in DVD sales compared to last year, and some might agree that piracy is the main contributing factor. At a quick glance when comparing the total downloads for the most pirated movie, “The Wolf of Wall Street” was illegally downloaded 30.035 million times, and Frozen, the most purchased DVD, sold 9,839,243 units. Considering The Pirate Bay was removed a couple of weeks ago, will we see sales of legal content soaring again?
