There are at least 20 names that come to mind if we read an article that reveals the top paid models in the world. The list might surprise some people that have an idea of whom to expect at the top of the fashion food chain. The folk over at Forbes was kind enough to crunch the numbers for us so that we can appreciate the richest models of the fashion world. According to the site, 34-year-old Brazilian fashion model Gisele Bundchen is the top earner in the last 12 months with an estimated $47 million before taxes and fees. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as she tops the list for a staggering eighth time in a row thanks to her modelling contracts with H&M, Chanel and Carolina Herrera. She also earns a decent cut from the jelly sandals she designs for Brazilian shoemaker Grendene, and she also earns a hefty stack as the face of Pantene hair products and Oral-B. The stunning brunette is also famous for her lingerie line, Gisele Bundchen Intimates, which is obviously made famous by the leggy model slipping into some of her creations for marketing campaigns.

The top 5 on the list is rounded up with Doutzen Kroes ( L’Oreal, Victoria’s Secret, H&M, Emilio Pucci and Miu Miu) and Adriana Lima (longest-running Angel, Maybelline and Desigual) in second and third place with 8 million each. Kate Moss (David Yurman, Rimmel, St. Tropez self-tan and Kerastase haircare products), Kate Upton (Sports Illustrated, Bobbi Brown cosmetics) and Miranda Kerr (Wonderbra, H&M, Swarovski, Reebok, Mango and Shopstyle to name a few) are earning an even 7 million in third, fourth and fifth place respectively.
