There is some test footage making the rounds on the internet that could possibly be the most epic concept for a solo “Deadpool” movie! The masked hero is apparently voiced by Ryan Reynolds who played the role as the mercenary in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. Even though the clip is fully developed using CGI, we simply can’t get over the fact how good this looks and how closely the character matches our preference for the anti-hero. The perfect blend of violence, action and comedy is exactly what the live action film should incorporate; hopefully Marvel is taking tips if this is not their doing!

The clip starts with the anti-hero wearing his famous red costume as he sits on a bridge singing Gwen Stefani’s Hollaback Girl while waiting for some action. He casually stares at the camera and introduces himself:

“Oh, hello there. I bet you’re wondering. Why the red suit? Well, that’s so bad guys can’t see me bleed.”

His introduction is interrupted when he spots a couple of baddies driving on the highway. He is immediately in pursuit, setting off a string of action scenes to apprehend the villains.

The last time we checked in with updates for the “Deadpool” movie, “X-Men” Producer Lauren Shuler Donner said that production is down to two decisions in order to move forward. The studio is still deciding whether to make an R-rated film on a shoestring budget or “push the boundaries of PG-13.” She also mentioned that Deadpool will not be recast, insisting that Ryan Reynolds will portray the titular character.

The violent test footage seems to be pushing the boarders of a PG-13 rating!

<<Apologies geeks, Twentieth Century Fox pulled all the clips from sharing platforms>>
