One of the lesser-known actors in Hollywood has been given an opportunity to star in DC’s upcoming Batman Vs. Superman crossover movie. Actor Scoot McNairy is not exactly a household name, but movie geeks might remember some of his recent acting gigs starring in ’12 Years A Slave’, ‘Frank’ and ‘Non-Stop’. Proving to be a jack of all trades in the bizz, the 36-year-old actor is considered a talented all-rounder.

It unclear at this stage which role the actor will portray. According to Deadline who broke the news first:
“Versatile actor Scoot McNairy is joining Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice,”
“Though nobody at Warner Bros will confirm it or tell us what the role is.”
Corridor talks suggest that McNairy might step in as Hal Jordan’s Green Lantern, but nothing has been confirmed….or denied.
The movie will see McNairy reunite with Ben Affleck, for the first time since they starred together in Argo. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman, while Affleck is suiting up to take on the role as the Caped Crusader for the first time. Amy Adams will reprise her role as Lois Lane, and Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman. Recent reports also tease that Jason Momoa will take on the role as Aquaman.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is set to be released on May 6, 2016.
