Killer kids from hell can be pretty scary, but do you want to know what is even scarier than that? Demon Babies from Hell!

This terrifying demon baby is roaming the streets of New York City scaring the living daylights out poor unsuspecting people. The robotic hell child was designed by viral marketing company Thinkmodo to promote the horror movie Devil’s Due. Using a three man team, one for the stroller and two for the demon baby the company terrorized unsuspecting people throughout Manhattan earlier this winter with this devil baby attack prank.

The Movie Devil’s Due centres around a newly-wed couple that after a mysterious “lost” night on their honeymoon find themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. While recording everything for posterity, the husband begins to notice odd behavior in his wife which they initially write off as nerves, but, as the months pass, it becomes evident that the dark changes to her body and mind have a much more sinister origin. The birth of the antichrist.

Devil’s Due takes a page from popular “devil child” movies such as Rosemary’s Baby and The Omen, pop culture has often riffed on the idea of in utero possession and the rise of a child Antichrist. The movie is shot using the classic “found footage” style, similar to The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity.

One of the posters released is a striking image that combines the well-known Satanic image of the inverted cross with an unnerving, blood-soaked depiction of pregnancy. If Devil’s Due itself can delve into the kind of anxieties evoked by this poster, it will live up to its aspirations. Certainly the production crew is trying to shock us as much as possible prior to the release.
