Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are back to reprise their roles as Harry Dunne and Lloyd Christmas in “Dumb and Dumber To”, set to be released on November 14, 2014. The third installment of horror story “Insidious” will make its way to theaters on April 3, 2015.
Deadline.com reports that Harry and Lloyd will be facing some tough competition in November. Ayer’s drama thriller “Fury” starring Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf will be released on the same weekend, Christopher Nolan-directed “Interstellar” is due November 7 and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1” will storm theatres on November 21.
The upcoming comedy sequel will follow Loyd and Harry on a road trip to find Harry’s illegitimate daughter for a kidney transplant. The “21 Jump Street” actor Rob Riggle has also joined the cast of the anticipated sequal, he gets a double part of playing twins, a handyman named Travis and his unstable brother Captain Lippencott. Jennifer Lawrence is set to make a cameo appearance portraying the younger version of Kathleen Turner’s on-screen character.
“Insidious Chapter 3” will face-off against sci-fi romance “Passengers (2015)” led by Keanu Reeves and Rachel McAdams. No additional films have been confirmed for April, 2015 release.
The third installment of “Insidious” is still in early development, hoping see director James Wan return to helm the pic. Wan mentioned once that he is moving away from the horror genre for a while to set his sights on “Fast and Furious 7”. The talented director helmed the first two “Insidious” pics.
