The “21 Jump Street” actor Rob Riggle has joined the cast of the anticipated sequel to the 1994 smash hit buddy comedy, “Dumb and Dumber” as cited by Collider.com.

The Farrelly brothers will produce, alongside Red Granite’s Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland along with Bradley Thomas and Charlie Wessler. Bennett Yellin, Mike Cerrone, Peter Parrelly and Bobby Farrelly is responsible to pen the script, previously written by John Morris and Sean Anders.
The upcoming comedy sequel will follow Lloyd and Harry on a road trip to find Harry’s illegitimate daughter for a kidney transplant. The film is set for a summer 2014 release date.
