“Ender’s Game” is an adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s multi-award winning book of the same title. The story follows Ender in his training to prepare for the next invasion from a hostile alien race. He is the top rookie in his class and soon leads his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of the human race. “Ender’s Game” was included in Damien Broderick’s book Science Fiction: The 101 Best Novels 1985-2010.
The first clip features Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford) and Ender (Asa Butterfield) talking about the possibility of him leading the Dragon Army:
Ender says to Colonel Graff:
“I find it hard to respect someone just because he outranks me, Sir,”
“That puts you in a difficult position, doesn’t it? You don’t like taking orders … perhaps you’d prefer to give them.”
Colonel Graff also says that the Dragon Army army has never won a battle, Ender has his work cut out as many will rely on his skills to win the war.
The film is directed and written by South African filmmaker Gavin Hood (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine”). The Sci-Fi action film will be released on November 1.
