Universal announced that Djimon Hounsou is joining the seventh installment “Fast and Furious” according to latest reports as cited by ew.com. He is not the only newcomer to the franchise, Ronda Rousey, Kurt Russell and Jason Statham will be joining returning cast members, Paul Walker, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Tyrese Gibson.

Tony Jaa is rumored to join the cast, he says in a statement:
“I have been a big fan of the Fast and Furious franchise. The films are fast paced, fun and keep the audience involved. There is a great mix of humor and action, something I really appreciate. There is no better film to be involved in for a first U.S. studio production.”
James Wan (“Insidious”) has officially taken over to serve behind the lens, he replaces “Fast and Furious 6” director Justin Lin.
The film is planned for July 11, 2014 release date.
