The expectation for director Alfonso Cuaron’s space movie Gravity starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney is gearing up to be massive. The reviews that have come in are nothing short of spectacular. The movie gets released officially on the 4th of October. James Cameron hailed the movie as the best space film ever.
“I was stunned, absolutely floored. I think it’s the best space photography ever done, I think it’s the best space film ever done, and it’s the movie I’ve been hungry to see for an awful long time. What is interesting is the human dimension. Alfonso and Sandra working together to create an absolutely seamless portrayal of a woman fighting for her life in zero gravity.”
Cameron did help out Cuarón on the film along with David Fincher, so maybe he’s a bit biased, but we think Cameron is honest about what he’s saying.
Looking at the suspenseful trailer, we’re buying into the hype for this film. The cinematography of Oblivion gave us some of the best looking earth shots we’ve seen in a while, we hope we get the same with Gravity. Even though we will only see two faces the entire film, that of Bullock and Clooney, we still feel that this is going to be epic.
