Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos might just be the hero of modern-day TV geekery if he manages to bring back ‘Arrested Development’ for one more season. It is one of the most beloved comedy shows in the TV geek community if you haven’t guessed it by now. Ranking up there with “Archer” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, “Arrested Development” always finds ways to tickle your funny bone in places you never thought existed.

According to USA Today, season 5 is all but confirmed:

“Sarandos is “positive” that another season of Arrested Development is in the offing: “It’s just a matter of when,” he says, adding that sorting out actors’ schedules is a concern: It was “a fair criticism” of last year’s revival of the cult comedy “that the cast didn’t appear on screen often enough together.”

The production for “Arrested Development” season 4 was plagued by the same problems with most of its cast members battling to clear their schedules for the comedy show. Let’s hope that season 5 doesn’t end up in development hell as well. “Archer” fans are well aware that Jessica Walter is actively busy on the production with no end in sight as yet. David Cross, Michael Cera, Jason Bateman and Portia de Rossi are busy with no less than three movie and/or TV projects.

Let’s hope they can bring everything together for on last epic season…maybe a couple more!? GS will keep you posted.
