More details emerge after “X-Men: Apocalypse” helmer Bryan Singer shared some details about the upcoming Marvel movie indicating that the events would take place during the 1980’s. Screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg spilled the beans about the exact year we can expect the movie to take place during a Q&A session with Jeff Goldsmith.

“the next movie takes place in 1983”

The time-frame is set 10 years after “X-Men: Days of Future Past“,  but will “deal with the notion of ancient mutants” according to previous reports. We can also prepare ourselves for an “X-Men” flick that is “more of ‘First Class’ sequel” featuring some of the original cast.

Promising to have “more mass destruction” than any “X-Men” film to date, “Apocalypse” is set to be released on May 27, 2016. Kinberg also confirmed that “X-Men” movie geeks can expect familiar faces to make an appearance in the follow-up to “X-Men: Days of Future Past“.
