It has only been a couple of days since Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson met with Warner Bros’ CEO to discuss an unnamed DC Comics project. Comicbookmovie.com says that a “reliable source has heard whispers that the DC role Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson teased recently is that of John Stewart”.

ThinkMcFlyThink’s Peter Georgiou took to twitter with this saucy message:
“Rumor: I didn’t hear this directly, but it’s floating around behind the scenes in the industry: @TheRock is up for Jon Stewart. Shrugs.”

Additional rumors suggest that Denzel Washington is also in contention for the coveted role.
“Man of Steel 2″ will hit theaters on July 17, 2015. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman, Ben Affleck will make his debut as the caped crusader and Gal Gadot will take on the role as Wonder Woman.
The Rock can be seen next in the “Hercules: The Thracian Wars” due July 25 and he will reprise his role as Luke Hobbs in “Fast and Furious 7“.
