Adam Driver fans hoping to see the actor play Batman’s former sidekick Nightwing in “Man of Steel 2”, will be disappointed the hear that he dismissed the rumors linking him as a possible candidate for the role.
Collider.com asked Driver if the rumors were true, he said:
“No, not as far as I know,” he goes on insisting that he’s not cast as Nightwing. “No, there’s no truth to it. I don’t know whoever put it on there. I don’t know how these things get [started] — I don’t know how it first came about.”

Additional actors have been linked to the coveted role, Penn Badgley and Ezra Miller is apparently on the shortlist.
In other “Man of Steel 2” news: The villainous master mind Lex Luthor will also make an appearance, latest rumors suggest that Terry O’Quinn is earmarked for the role. Olga Kurylenko, Gal Gadot and Elodie Yung are said auditioning for Batman’s love interest rumored to be Diana Prince or better known as Wonder Woman.
Ben Affleck will co-star with Henry Cavill who will reprise his role as the “Man of Steel”. The sequel is due July 17, 2015.
