The sneak peek for “Hercules: The Legend Begins” (previously titled “Hercules 3D”) is released ahead of the full trailer premiere at New York Comic-Con this coming weekend, October 12. The video features Hercules the Demigod, portrayed by the “Twilight” heartthrob Kellan Lutz. He shows no fear taking down his advisories in a fit of rage with sword in hand. The short clip showcases some impressive fight scenes set in a gladiator arena whilst an audience are cheering on the gladiators.

The story follows the mighty son of Zeus as he fights for his freedom after he was betrayed by his King and sold into slavery. He is also on a journey to find his way back to his true love, the Princess of Crete played by Gaia Weiss. Renny Harlin serves behind the lens as director, filming started in May 2013 in Bulgaria. The film is supported by Scott Adkins, Roxanne McKee, Liam Garrigan , Liam McIntyre, Rade Serbedzija, Johnathon Schaech and Luke Newberry.
“Hercules: The Legend Begins” is set to be released in March 2014.

Hercules fans will be treated to a second Hercules movie from a rival project helmed by Brett Ratner starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. “Hercules: The Thracian Wars” will be released on July 25, 2014.

We should have The Rock and Lutz, duke it out to determine the ultimate Hercules!
