It’s official, Elizabeth Olsen will star in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” according to a recent report from The Wall Street Journal. Rumors back in August suggested that Olsen is in talks to join the cast of the anticipated sequel. She was earmarked to portray Scarlet Witch, the daughter of Magneto and twin sister of Quicksilver . Elizabeth is the younger sister of the twin actresses Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen.

Samuel L. Jackson confirmed the news, who will reprise his role as Nick Fury in the upcoming sequel of 2012’s “The Avengers”.

Jackson says:

“I don’t think we begin shooting before March of next year,”.

“I know we’re shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. [Elizabeth] Olsen, but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script.”

Jackson wasn’t able to confirm which character Olsen will be taking on.

Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner are all back to reprise their respective roles.

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” is set to be released on May 1, 2015. Samuel L. Jackson recently made a cameo appearance on ABC’s series “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”. The hot new series impressed with a huge opening with 12.12 million viewers on Tuesday night, September 24.
