In addition to his rumored involvement with the third installment of “Bad Boys”, it has also been reported that Jerry Bruckheimer is pursuing a follow-up to Tom Cruise’s cult classic fighter pilot movie “Top Gun”.

It has been nearly 30 years since Top Gun was released back in 1986

Bruckheimer says “Top Gun 2” is still a Go as cited by

“We still want to do it with Tom, and Paramount are still interested in making it,”

“What Tom tells me is that no matter where he goes in the world, people refer to him as Maverick. It’s something he is excited about, so as long as he keeps his enthusiasm hopefully we’ll get it made.”

Bruckheimer is very busy according to recent rumors making the rounds, he is reportedly attached to the “Beverly Hills Cop IV” sequel as well.
