The third season of the FX horror anthology series will premiere in October. The first teaser of the upcoming horror series called “American Horror Story: Coven” has arrived! Females are facing the walls above the ground in an eerie spacious white room as a creepy rendition of “House of the Rising Sun” is played as the background music.

Creator Ryan Murphy told Vulture.com:
“It really is about the witches of Salem pitted against voodoo witches,”
“The witches of Salem, the smart ones, got out very early and they were none of the ones who were burned,” “They all gravitated toward New Orleans, where they now live, and every generation has a great witch who has the most powers of them all, and that’s called the Supreme. Ms. Jessica Lange is the Supreme.”
Angela Bassett will portray Marie Laveau, a Voodoo priestess “in the 1800s who was very influential in the city.”
“It’s up to Jessica Lange and Angela Bassett to mend the fence,” Murphy said.

Oscar Award-winning actress Kathy Bates will be playing a real-life character who is considered one of the worst ladies in New Orleans’ history is Delphine LaLaurie. The infamous Marie Delphine LaLaurie (Madame LaLaurie), was a Louisiana-born socialite and serial killer known for her involvement in the torture and murder of black slaves. With the shocker “Misery” (1990), based on the popular Stephen King novel, Bates plays the role of a chunky, porcine-looking psychopath Annie Wilkes, who kidnaps her favorite author and subjects him to a series of horrific tortures. Bates is perfect to tackle the role as “Madame LaLaurie.”
“Coven “will be set in both the present day and the 1830s.
