I’m sure we’ve all been in this situation: You go away on holiday, to a place with a beach, the sun, the ocean, and guess what… Odin decided to muster the weather God’s and what you end up with is a week of rain, wind, thunder storms and crappy weather. You end up spending the entire holiday indoors, unable to go out and enjoy the sun, beach, weather. So what do you do? Some of us read, others sleep, but for someone like me… I turn to my trusty iPhone, and thank the heavens that I downloaded these apps to keep me busy.

Today though we listed apps that will work without a required internet connection. Let’s face it, what if you’re on a mountain retreat or Island holiday with no Internet?

 

1. Kingdom Rush Frontiers

Developed By Ironhide Game Studio, this is considered to be the best and most addictive Tower Defence game currently on the market. Frontiers is the sequel that was released less than a week ago.

2. Civilization Revolution

We’re huge fans of the Civilization franchise, few games have chowed more minutes, hours, weeks, months of our lives than Civilization. Why not try the iPhone app. It’s not nearly as complete and detailed as the proper Desktop game versions, but you will definitely have a lot of fun while playing it.

Choose your victory path: military, cultural, economic or scientific. However you choose to lead your people, there’s a way to win. There’s a gazillion Soduko apps out there, but we found this one the best as it has the most user friendly functions and features. You can easily store your potential answers. Sudoku will give you many hours of fun and puzzle solving.

Ok so maybe not the most intense game out there, but it has a two player option, and may appeal to those that like the intellectual stimulation while on holiday.
