Neill Blomkamp became famous for his Sci-Fi cult hit District 9. And although that film seems ages ago there are still some that cling to the hope that he can somehow return to that glorious form and move away/ forget his disastrous movies since.

First there was Elysium which by all means wasn’t bad, but expectations was high, too high. Then came Chappie, which to be honest couldn’t be much worse. It is the worst movie we’ve seen that entire year.

Then there was light. Neill Blomkamp is letting his creative juices flow again as he launched a new mysterious project called Oat Studios. He’s directing and releasing a series of experimental short films that he will sell through Steam, which is Valve’s PC distribution service. Today the first trailer has been released for Oat Studios’ “Volume 1”,  which gives us a taste of what we can expect to see from the series, and it’s packed full of extremely cool sci-fi coolness!

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments.
