The character created by educational consultant William Moulton Marston (which first appeared in All Star Comics in 1941) will finally grace the silver screen in her very own stand alone flick in 2017. Some of us still remember the TV series with Lynda Carter taking the lead as the titular character from 1976 to 1979 on ABC and CBS. Patty Jenkins replaced Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad, Game of Thornes and Walking Dead) as the director of the anticipated movie. Set during World War I we’ll get to see Diana (Gal Gadot), princess of the Amazons, as she becomes Wonder Woman!

We’ll have to see what Sony Pictures and Disney owned-Marvel Studios will bring to the table with an all new Spider-Man . We had the privilege of seeing the new Peter Parker for the first time when the character appeared in Marvel’s epic “Captain America: Civil War”. Tom Holland replaces Andrew Garfield who is not expected to reprise the character since he was booted out in “Captain America: Civil War”.

Marvel head Kevin Feige said:

“Marvel’s involvement will hopefully deliver the creative continuity and authenticity that fans demand from the MCU. I am equally excited for the opportunity to have Spider-Man appear in the MCU, something which both we at Marvel, and fans alike, have been looking forward to for years.”

Feige told Collider:

“In terms of the age of what we believe Peter Parker is, I’d say 15-16 is right. Some of my favorite Spider-Man arcs and Spider-Man stories, he’s in high school for a lot of it,” he said. “We want to explore that. That also makes him very, very different from any of our other characters in the [Marvel Cinematic Universe], which is something else we want to explore: how unique he is when now put against all these other characters.”

“A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
