NBC Cancels Constantine

Sadly we knew this was going to happen. We speculated the cancellation here with 5 possibly shows that face cancellation. We wanted Constantine to be good so badly, but we simply could not sit through more than 4 episodes of this show… so the official news comes as no surprise that the DC Comics television series, Following a halt in production last fall, has now officially been cancelled by NBC. While Matt Ryan’s John Constantine may not be returning to the network, executive producer Daniel Cerone has taken to Twitter to remind fans that “Constantine” isn’t dead yet and that the show is now looking for a home elsewhere.

The series, which has so far aired a single 13-episode first season, stars Ryan as the chain-smoking supernatural detective first introduced by Alan Moore in and later spun off into his own series, Hellblazer. Produced by Bonanza Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, Constantine is written and is executive produced by Daniel Cerone (“Dexter”), David S. Goyer and Mark Verheiden.

What do you think? Are you enjoying this show?
