Hugh Jackman Responds To The Spider-Man Marvel Team Up News
Continuing the new news that broke Yesterday that Spider-Man will now feature in future Marvel films, we have some positive feedback from The Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman.
Screencrush sat down with Hugh Jackman to talk to him about Neill Blomkamp’s Chappie early this morning, and they caught Jackman’s natural reaction to hearing about the massive news that Sony and Marvel have reached a deal regarding the future of Spider-Man. The news doesn’t have immediate implications for Jackman’s Wolverine to head to the Marvel Ciniverse anytime soon, remember Fox owns the cinematic rights to the X-Men, and Sony to the Avengers), but this convergence is something Jackman himself has been hoping to see for a long time. He mentioned last year that he’d love to see Wolverine in an Avengers movie, but he acknowledges in this video that by the time that finally happens, he won’t be playing the character anymore.
