The Clint Eastwood-directed “American Sniper” starring Bradley Cooper is still the top contender at the North American Box for a third week since its release. The biographical war drama collected an estimated $31.9 million domestically on Super Bowl Weekend. Officially standing as the highest grossing flick over Super Bowl weekend, “American Sniper” is showing no signs of slowing down. The record was previously held by 2008’s “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour” with $31.1 million.

The rest of the films at the box office did not enjoy the same success, with the family-friendly “Paddington” trailing far behind in second place with $8.5 million. The loveable bear is followed by newcomers “Project Almanac” and “Black or White” in third with $8.5 million and fourth with $6.5 million respectively. The Jennifer Lopez starring erotic thriller flop “The Boy Next Door” rounds out the top five  with an estimated $6.1M
