Robin Williams can be seen in the first trailer released for “Merry Friggin’ Christmas”. The world is still mourning the loss of the beloved comedian after he was found dead just before noon Monday August 11, inside his home in California. We have the privilege of seeing the late actor in one of his latest releases which shows an awkward family reunion with all sorts of family tension and mishaps. Williams takes on the roles as a grumpy father who helps his estranged son Boyd to save Christmas. They are paired up through a series of events to save the holiday, and hopefully repair their relationship during the road trip.

In addition to Williams, “A Merry Friggin’ Christmas” also stars Joel McHale Lauren Graham, Clark Duke, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Oliver Platt, Tim Heidecker, and Candice Bergen. Trophy Wife‘s Ryan Lee and Looper‘s Pierce Gagnon represent the younger generation. The film Produced by the Russo Brothers (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier“) is set to be released on November 7. Williams can also be seen in “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” due on December 19.

“A Merry Friggin’ Christmas follows Boyd Mitchler (Joel McHale) and his wife Luann (Lauren Graham) as they spend a dreaded Chrismas with Boyd’s father Mitch (Robin Williams) and his family of misfits. Upon realizing that he has left all of his son’s gifts at home, Boyd hits the road with his father and younger brother in an attempt to make the 8-hour round trip before sunrise.”
