AC/DC is in the process of recording their new album entitled “Rock or Bust”! The legendary Australian hard rock band made the announcement yesterday, 24 September, but it was also confirmed that Malcolm Young had officially departed from the band. Young has been seriously ill since April 2014 according to reports released about the  rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist for the group. The band released a statement on 16 April 2014 that Young would be “taking a break from the band due to ill health”, however this time round fans will have to depart from the legend as he will be retiring. The decision was made due to Johnson’s ongoing health concerns after he was hospitalized in July for an unspecified condition. Despite all, the legacy continues with his nephew Stevie Youth replacing him in the recording studio for the upcoming album.

Fans can expect no less that 11 brand new tracks they recorded last Spring at Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC. GeekShizzle is super excited to hear what the boys were up since their last album released back in 2008. The Platinum selling “Black Ice” made history debuting at No.1 on album charts in 29 countries and also has the distinction of being Columbia Records’ biggest debut album. Surpassing “The Beatles” as the No.1 selling catalogue artist in the US for 2008, who knows what the Australian rockers have in store this time round?

The group reunited with long-time producer Brendan O’Brien and mixer Mike Fraser for “Rock or Bust”, which is set to arrive on December 2.
