Remember that time when Vin Diesel grew hair for his role in 2006’s “Find Me Guilty”? Seeing the buff star with a beard in the first pic released for his upcoming “The Last Witch Hunter” will probably leave most fans with the same reaction when they saw him sporting a full set of hair as mobster Jackie DiNorscio. The 47-year-old actor can be seen with his unkempt facial hair while sporting a caveman style fur.
Diesel posted the picture on Facebook with the following caption:
“13th century Kaulder… The Last Witch Hunter begins…,”
Recent reports suggest that “Game of Thrones” star Rose Leslie is set to star opposite Diesel in “The Last Witch Hunter”.
“The Last Witch Hunter” centers on one of the last remaining witch hunters charged with the population control of witches and warlocks. The magical breed is about to proliferate in “a major way” unless “The Last Witch Hunter” can stop them. The film will see Diesel partner with his natural enemy in the streets of modern New York City. Leslie becomes an unlikely ally in a mission to prevent a witch queen from securing a relic containing the power to unleash a plague upon the human race.
Breck Eisner (The Crazies) will take seat behind the lens for Summit Entertainment. According to Deadline, Cory Goodman (Priest) wrote the screenplay; Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) will produce. Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama (“Gods of Egypt”) were hired to polish the script. No release date has been confirmed yet.
