Remember the days back in the 80’s when Coca-Cola released all those really cool yo-yo’s we use to annoy our parents with? Most of my memories involve the odd lamp or chandelier getting a good old smack or two from desperately trying to pull off the “Double or Nothing” or “Eiffel Tower” with no success. This is clearly not the case with contestants at the World Yo-Yo Contest (WYYC). The contest brings together Yo-Yo pros from no less than 22 countries, posting an average of 500 contenders each year. This year’s event was held August 7–9 in the city of Prague to see who stands out as the best of the best. California native Gentry Stein walked away victorious with the YouTube clip featuring his prize-winning performance as proof (as above).
