Hot news for Mitchell Hurwitz’s  “Arrested Development” just came in geeks! Will Arnett who portrays Michael Bluth’s older brother “Gob”, says fans of the show can prepare for a new season. In an interview with Carson Daly on the “Today” show, Arnett broke the exciting news while promoting his new movie “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles“, the actor said on Thursday, August 7:

“Yeah, we are gonna do more ‘Arrested Development’,”

“Ted Sarandos [Netflix CEO] and Netflix kinda let the cat out of the bag on that one. It’s something we all want to do, so we’re excited.”

Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos hinted at the possibility of a fifth season while speaking with USA Today on August 5. He said that he is “positive” that another season of Arrested Development is can be made: “It’s just a matter of when,” he says, adding that sorting out actors’ schedules is a concern: It was “a fair criticism” of last year’s revival of the cult comedy “that the cast didn’t appear on-screen often enough together.”

This is the best news of the week! Netflix managed to breathe new life into the comedy series which battled to produce the long gestating fourth season. Series geeks nearly started a small riot when the fourth season finally aired in May 2013. Now the wait begins for season 5….tick…tock!
