Marvel had another surprise for comic book geeks attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Disney has set aside dates for no less than six comic book movies to be released, but it’s been secretly kept under wraps.  On Saturday, July 26  Marvel announced that we can expect “Guardians Of The Galaxy 2” to arrive in cinemas on July 28, 2017. There are still 5 unannounced flicks between November 2017 and May 2019. Here at GeekShizzle we speculated a bit and put together our own list of possible selections, click here to check it out!

Guardians star Chris Pratt and director James Gunn were unable to attend the Con, but made the necessary effort to appeared via video from London, where they are promoting the first movie’s release overseas. Before Marvel’s presentation ended, Pratt and Gunn revealed the date of the sequel while seen having a bit of banter. They were having a laugh, talking about how mad Marvel Head Kevin Feige would be if they revealed the sequel’s release date. The main Guardians cast – Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel are all expected to return for the sequel.

We will be counting down the days till 2017! Generating huge buzz at the moment, the first installment simply titled “Guardians of the Galaxy”, has already received a 97% score  based on reviews of 30 critics on review aggregator Rottentomatoes.com.
