Here is an interesting project worth keeping an eye on. Two of the hottest actors in Hollywood is attached to a revenge movie titled “The Revenant”. Leonardo DiCaprio committed to star in the gritty thriller back in April this year. This also marks DiCaprio’s firsts commitment off his Oscar-nominated “The Wolf Of Wall Street” performance which is also something to note. Recent reports reveal that Tom Hardy will star opposite DiCaprio in “The Revenant”, but he had to straighten out his schedule before committing fully to the project.

In most circles Hardy is seen as an up an coming star, but films such as “Bronson”, “Warrior” and “Lawless” proves that he has the acting chops to take on additional coveted roles. In “The Revenant”, DiCaprio takes on the role as Hugh Glass, a 19th century fur trapper who gets mauled by a grizzly bear, and then is left for dead by cohorts who rob him. He survives the incident and sets out on a path of revenge to take action against those who betrayed him.

Highly sought after director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is at the helm of the project based on Michael Punke’s novel “The Revenant: a Novel of Revenge”. Filming is set to start September 22 this year with New Regency planning a fall 2015 release. “Gravity” cinematographer an Oscar winner Emmanuel Lubezki is hired to assist with the shooting of the film. Gonzalez Inarritu and Mark L. Smith co-wrote the script. It is not the first time that Hardy and DiCaprio shared the big screen, they previously worked together on Christopher Nolan’s “Inception”.
