CW’s “Arrow” found the perfect actress to portray Tatsu Yamashiro a.k.a. Katana. 31-year-old model/actress Devon Aoki has officially joined the cast ensemble as the female super-hero. She will guest star in the upcoming third season of The CW’s action superhero series. We are looking forward to seeing her wield the fabled “Soultaker” sword! The fem fatale character first appeared in the “Green Arrow” origin series graphic novels published by DC Comics, “The Brave and the Bold” #200 in 1983.

According to Deadline:

“Tatsu will be one of Oliver’s mentors in the flashbacks and a critical influence on his journey to eventually become the Arrow of present day.”

Aoki is no stranger when it comes to swinging deadly blades. She previously played Miho, a mute female assassin of Japanese descent in Frank Miller’s “Sin City” series.
