Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, we get to see brand new pictures from “Mad Max: Fury Road“. Charlize Theron can be seen sporting a shaved head while playing Imperator Furiosa, and Nicholas Hoult really stands out as a heavily makeuped impressive bald Nux. Let’s not forget the reason why we have any interests in this reboot, yes I am talking about Tom Hardy as “Mad” Max Rockatansky. There is also a couple of new picks giving us a peek at Hardy as the titular character. Also fresh off the press is a first look at Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy together on the weekly cover for the entertainment magazine.

In this week’s issue, Entertainment Weekly spoke to Hardy about the seven months in the desert of Namibia to shoot the film.
He says:
“It was mental in a brilliant way,”
“You have no concrete, no coffee shops. We were in the middle of a sandpit.”
Co-writer and director George Miller expressed his vision to reboot the Mad Max franchise, saying:
“I wanted to tell a linear story–a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes,”
“In this crucible of very intense action, the characters are revealed” with “few digital effects and even less dialogue,”
Hardy, Theron and Hoult will be joined by Nathan Jones, Zoë Kravitz, Riley Keough, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Hugh Keays-Byrne, who played the Toecutter in the first film, is expected to return but in a new role.
The fourth installment in the post-apocalyptic action film franchise is set to be released on May 15, 2015.
