Little did we know back then, that a 16 year old boy called George Martin, writing a letter of commendation to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby on the Fantastic Four Comic would become one of the most well known writers in the world 50 years later.

Marvel released this fan letter from back in 1963. George R. Martin, who must have been around 16 years old back then wrote this letter to Stan Lee on the greatest comic book ever, Fantastic Four #17. You can pick up from his vocabulary in the letter that even back then he knew how to write. He praises the issue saying it’s “greater than great.” and “absolutely stupendous, the ultimate, utmost!”
