It’s been just under a month since we checked out one of Linkin Park’s new singles “Until it’s gone”. The group of rockers continue to impress with the release of the lyric video for their latest track titled “Wastelands”. We mentioned before that their new album “The Hunting Party”, will explore their grungier electronic rock roots of yesteryear while sticking to their new creative direction.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, rapper Mike Shinoda revealed their artistic approach for their upcoming album:
“We need to weed out a lot of the soft, emo kind of approach to our music, and we need to weed out anything that feels aggressive for aggressive’s sake. We’re not 18-year-old kids making a loud record – we’re 37-year-old adults making a loud record. And what makes a 37-year-old angry is different than what made us angry back in the day,”
The California rock band’s sixth studio album is set to be release on June 17.
Linkin Park fans will have the privilege of seeing the band play live with the “Carnivores Tour” kicking-off on August 8 in Florida. The mega rock band will be joined by 30 Seconds to Mars and AFI.
